Bent Grass (Walking Point Book 1)

The man out front decides who comes home.

Luke Tollefson commands a rifle company in Vietnam. Jody Caudill walks point in front of it with a peeled switch held out over the grass, slower than a blind man, reading the trail before anyone else steps on it.

The company moves out along a wet ridge of red clay and elephant grass west of Pothook, with Jody out front and the whole file kneeling every time his hand comes up.

Bent Grass is Book 1 of the Walking Point series.
